I worked closely with Tim Berne for a few years around the launch of Screwgun, and I caught Bloodcount as many times as I possibly could—what an incredible band, and what an integral role Jim played. That band would not have been the same with any other percussionist on the throne.

I enjoyed the experience of reading this and look forward to exploring Jim Black's music further. I've come across him live and in sound several times and have always been captivated by his originality and unbridled verve!
