Starting to sound like a poet, Vinnie. I know you can and have seen you "sculpt sounds" yet your writing on Miles' Quintet version of "Yesterdays" proves there's a poet inside you as well! Thank you!

Great post. Fantastic to listen to the Plugged Nickel again. Often wondered whether calling ‘Yesterdays’ at the end of the last set of the run was about Miles gently but firmly taking back control of his band who had been giving him the runaround over the previous couple of days?

Hi Vinnie. I thoroughly enjoyed your comments about Miles’ Yesterday at the Plugged Nickel. I, like certainly many of your readers, picked up my copy and listened to it. I own both the Mosaic LP and CD issues, the drum stick dropped by Tony was not included in the vinyl version. Strange.
